Protect the details where water travels with a system

In bathrooms and showers, water leakage usually starts at corners, pipe penetrations, drains and junctions between different surfaces. This solution treats the detail accessories, fully flexible waterproofing, S1 adhesive and wet-area grout as a single layered system.

Application

How does the system work?

Steps are listed in application order. For consumption, layer thickness and waiting times, refer to the products' current technical data sheets (TDS).

  1. Step 1: Prepare the surface and the slope

    Make the surface clean, sound and load-bearing. Complete the required slope towards the drain and any local repairs before waterproofing.

  2. Step 2: Resolve the critical details

    Use KR-JTK detail accessories at corners, wall-floor junctions, pipe penetrations and similar critical areas.

  3. Step 3: Apply the fully flexible waterproofing

    Create a continuous waterproofing layer with KR-5100 + KR-5100-2 in the grey system or KR-5150 + KR-5150-2 in the white system.

  4. Step 4: Install the tiles with the flexible adhesive

    Install the cladding using KR-8000 in the grey system or KR-8500 in the white system.

  5. Step 5: Complete the wet-area grout

    Use KR-250 in the main system. In special areas with technical, mechanical or high chemical loads, refer to KR-300.

Recommended KraftBau products

Corners, tapes and pipe penetrations are solved with KR-JTK detail products. KR-5100 + KR-5100-2 is used for grey waterproofing and KR-5150 + KR-5150-2 for white waterproofing. The cladding is bonded with KR-8000 or KR-8500; the main grout is KR-250.
