On uncovered terraces, the waterproofing layer is directly exposed to rain, UV, temperature changes and conditions of use. Without mixing the products together, this page presents the mineral fully flexible, mineral super flexible, acrylic, polyurethane and professional polyurea solutions as separate fixed systems.

Application

How does the system work?

Steps are listed in application order. For consumption, layer thickness and waiting times, refer to the products' current technical data sheets (TDS).

  1. Step 1: Assess the surface and the exposure

    Determine the substrate type, moisture condition, existing coating, foot traffic and the extent to which the surface will remain exposed.

  2. Step 2: Resolve the details before waterproofing

    Prepare critical areas such as drains, parapets, corners, cracks and movement joints in a manner compatible with the system to be selected.

  3. Step 3: Select a single fixed system

    Determine, through technical assessment, which of the mineral fully flexible, mineral super flexible, acrylic, polyurethane or polyurea cards suits the project conditions.

  4. Step 4: Apply the layers according to the product principles

    For the mixing, number of coats, consumption, waiting and curing conditions of the selected system, rely only on the current technical data sheet.

  5. Step 5: Check and open to use

    Check continuity at the details and surface integrity; do not open the area to use before the system has completed its required curing.
