Façade & Thermal Insulation Systems
MANTO KRAFT Thermal Insulation System
Shows the MANTO KRAFT system from bonding the thermal insulation board through mechanical fixing, mesh-reinforced render and the decorative topcoat.
System summary
- Substrate
- KR-404
- thermal insulation board
- suitable anchor
- KR-405 + reinforcing mesh
- KR-1500; KR-500 for mouldings.
Complete façade thermal insulation with compatible layers
ETICS performance depends not on a single mortar but on the substrate, board adhesive, mechanical fixing, mesh-reinforced render and decorative topcoat working together. The MANTO KRAFT system brings KraftBau products together in the correct application sequence.
System advantages
- Compatibility of board adhesive and fibre-reinforced render
- Intermediate layer strengthened with reinforcing mesh
- Decorative mineral topcoat option
- Separate repair and adhesive complement for mouldings
Application
How does the system work?
Steps are listed in application order. For consumption, layer thickness and waiting times, refer to the products' current technical data sheets (TDS).
-
Step 1: Prepare the substrate
Make the façade surface clean, sound, load-bearing and ready for board application. Remove weak render and any residues that reduce adhesion.
-
Step 2: Bond the boards with KR-404
Apply the thermal insulation boards with KR-404 MANTO KRAFT THERMAL INSULATION BOARD ADHESIVE in accordance with the layout pattern in the project.
-
Step 3: Complete the mechanical fixing
Fix the boards mechanically with ETICS anchors suited to the surface, building height and project requirements.
-
Step 4: Form the mesh-reinforced render layer
Embed the reinforcing mesh in KR-405 MANTO KRAFT THERMAL INSULATION BOARD RENDER, maintaining the overlaps.
-
Step 5: Apply the decorative topcoat
Finish the façade with KR-1500 MANTO KRAFT DECO. Use KR-500 for moulding and decorative profile details.
